DEFINITION:
Unavoidable events or experiences which suddenly disrupt, change routines or require adjustment to a new set of circumstances. |
CRISIS:
Inform appropriate persons about the child's loss, change or traumatic experience; Refer student to appropriate resources as indicated; Provide teachers with support and resources where and when appropriate. |
INTERVENTION:
Develop a plan for crisis situations which utilize school and community resources; Incorporate the plan. |
