INAPPROPRIATE, OR HIGH-RISK BEHAVIORS                      Code:  MENTAL HEALTH - 301
DEFINITION:
Behaviors which are not aggressive, violent or criminal but are considered inappropriate by society and the student's peers.  The student may feel that he/she cannot control the impulse to exhibit the behavior and expresses that the behavior releases tension, stress or anxiety.
PREVENTION:
Identify behavior as being inappropriate.  Inform student, advise student to seek counseling in outside agency; Provide student with support services/intervention strategies; Arrange to meet with parents or guardian; Provide individual counseling on life-skills, decision-making, home, school, and society mores and values, self-esteem; Arrange for counseling in community mental health agencies.
